Today, our class observed the collards after two weeks. We were surprised to see that the collards doubled in size. We also noticed that even though the temperatures have been below freezing, the collards have survived. Now we have to look at future temperatures and figure out how to prevent our collards from freezing. Another thing we noticed is that the collards are too close together and that we will need to thin the plants out. There were a lot of weeds that we will need to continue to get rid of to help the plants grow.
